To be fair, it’s not like you need an excuse to throw a party. Sometimes you just want to throw a party, so you do. But just in case you wanted an excuse to pull out the party snacks and unique gifts, we’ve got it covered. It turns out that every year is full of excuses for parties. Sure, you can always party on your birthday or a major holiday, but have you ever considered celebrating one of these?
Squirrel Appreciation Day
Squirrel Appreciation Day! How great is that? Yes, it’s a real holiday, thank you very much. It takes place on January 21st. Look it up. And you know what squirrels love? Nuts. Obviously, that means you should go nuts with the party snacks. Just be careful if you share your nuts with the squirrels. Do your research on what’s safe for them to eat, first. The Wasabi Peanut Crunchies, for example, land squarely in the Not Safe for Squirrels column.
Well, there you go. It’s pretty self-explanatory. Party snacks? Pistachios, obviously. Unique gifts? Pistachios. We’ll leave it up to you to get creative with this one. You have until next February to figure it out.
Something on a Stick Day
Something on a Stick Day? That’s a perfectly good reason to throw a party! Again, your party snacks are covered because it’s right there in the name. By the way, The Toe of Satan Challenge totally comes on a stick. You’ll have to prep fast, though. Something on a Stick Day will be here before you know it. It shows up on March 28th, to be exact.
Eat What You Want Day </sp an>
“Excuse me,” you’re probably thinking right now, “We already have an Eat What You Want Day, and it’s called Thanksgiving.” Well, it turns out that there’s another one. It takes place on May 11th, and you don’t even have to spend it with your relatives.
Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day
People ate nuts in the past, and we’re just assuming that they’ll eat nuts in the future. This one happens on December 8th. Watch time travel movies and eat party snacks. Or do something more creative. You’ll think of something by then.
